The Centre for Undergraduate Research on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah invites you to participate in the 2020 STIC competition. Details of the competition are as follows:
WHAT IS STIC?
The Science and Technology Innovation Challenge (STIC) is a novel entrepreneurship development program by the Nigerian Content and Development Management Board (NDCMB) and implemented by Enactus Nigeria, intended to challenge all undergraduate students of accredited Nigerian tertiary institutions, to apply science, technology and innovation to find home-grown solutions to everyday problems across all sectors of the economy through research. The research must lead to a sustainable and viable business with social and economic impact on Nigeria.
PRIZE FOR WINNING STUDENTS
STIC 2020 Champions: N10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira) + Business incubation
First runner-up: N4,000,000 (Four Million Naira) + Business incubation
Second runner-up: N1,500,000 (One Million, Five Hundred Naira)
PRIZE FOR WINNING FACULTY GUIDES
STIC 2020 champion faculty guide: N750,000 (Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) + Apple Mac
First runner-up: N500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira)
Second runner-up: N250,000 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira)
PRIZE FOR WINNING INSTITUTION
STIC 2020 champion institution: Winners trophy + research & development centre*
First runner-up: Second place trophy
Second runner-up: Third place trophy
Teams of 2 students can apply. The two students must come from the same institution. For University of Abuja students, all applicants must apply with their uniabuja email addresses.
It is open to students of any Department in our University as long as the research leads to innovative science based technologically driven solutions.
