The chairman of the Presidential Task Force for covid-19, Boss Mustapha announced in the daily briefing of the above panel that the restrictions on religious activities has been lifted. This includes churches, mosques and the places of worship.
As expected, conditions are attached to it which includes:
- Enforcement of the use of face masks to reduce the possibility of a spread of infection
- That hand washing facilities/sanitizers be made available in the places of worship
- That they adhere to other precaution agreed upon by the State and the task force.
He further mentioned that schools will remain closed while ban on interstate travel remains excluding transport of agricultural produce and essential goods and services.
While hope is at the tunnel, the number of covid-19 cases being discovered daily is on the rise with 307 new cases, 14 deaths and 10,162 cases in Nigeria as at yesterday.
