Free Money: Increased Scam And Fraudulence On Social Media

Free money: Scammers won't let us rest.

Since Nigeria went into lockdown due to the Corona Virus disease covid-19, various firms have to adapt to continuing their businesses virtually. The internet is a very powerful tool, and the lockdown due to the pandemic has proven that there are a whole lot of things that can be done using the internet.

As the world goes virtual and digital, scammers have  seized the opportunity to up their games. There has been a tremendous increase in the number of ways people can allegedly make money online and most of this have been fraudulent means orchestrated by scammers to defraud people of their hard earned money in this trying time.

Among the student community, a very popular SUG aspirant have been impersonated and his social media handles is being used to defraud unsuspecting students. Over the past few months, there have been a wave of impersonation of people's account as well as hacking of social media accounts. It seems like instead of waging at
war against covid-19, these swindlers have instead started a battle of defrauding people.

We're now faced with multiple problems. While we are fighting the virus and trying to keep our heads above water with the little resources we have left, these bad guys won't let us rest until they drain what is left.

The question is, how can anyone be free of there scammers and their fraudulent acts
