The university community was in sorrow two days ago as the death of a lecturer from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was announced by the Vice Chancellor. The lecturer, Dr Ogunbodede Mofoluso Ade (ACA/ 1248) from the department of Theriogenology, was reported to have died on 3rd June 2020 at about 5.00pm. He died at the National Hospital, Abuja and his corpse has been deposited at the hospital morgue.
The Vice Chancellor, Abdulrasheed Na'allah expressed his condolences to the Dean of Veterinary Medicine, Professor Wesley D. Nafarnda, the Head of Department, staffs and all students concerning the sad departure of a colleague; through a WhatsApp message. He continued, "May God Almighty condole his family and all of us. Please kindly pray that thid type of news will be rare and less rampant in our great University"
The deceased was a lecturer I, pursuing his PhD at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He is survived by his wife and a son who both live at Ibadan.
